Pies, pies,
oh Lord won't you find him
the perfect pie?
He has tried,
Lord he has tried,
please find him
the perfect pie.
His quest has just begun,
but he has searched
to no avail,
he is beyond hoping,
beyond the pail.
Lord give him the strength to go on,
Lord give him the patience
to find the perfect pastry
in a heavenly patisserie.
